Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods cheated on his wife, wrecked his car while she was giving chase with one of his 9 irons, and went to a sex rehabilitation center in MS. Now the media and everyone with 24 hours of live television to fill is talking about it. Sponsors are dropping him left and right costing him all sorts of money. These sponsors have the ability to sponsor a certain image as we all know, but let’s face facts on this… the sponsors are no fairy tale story either. These people exploit anything they can to make profits and sell their products to America and the world. I think it is absolutely absurd that Gatorade or another sponsor would drop a person for cheating on his spouse. I know that what he did was wrong, I know he will pay for it from his family and being humiliated, but really and truthfully, who cares?

This is a personal issue between him and his wife. The other women knew good and well the situation they were putting themselves in by messing around with a multi millionaire athlete that was MARRIED! I do not pity these women, no; at best I personally feel like these women KNEW what they were doing and probably acted as a catalyst to his misbehavior, and infidelity. That statement is in no way an approval of what he did, I just think it is really none of my business. I also further think that this man has travelled the world since he was an adult, with a bank account that we normal folk cannot come close to fathoming, and just playing Golf. He has not lived the normal American life and to tell the truth, and the media’s unsurpassed coverage of his exploits both on the greens and off, still makes me not care if he cheated on his wife. I refuse to act like that in my personal life, and I know what he did was very wrong, but it did not involve me whatsoever. If his wife forgives him, that is really all that matters. If his wife winds up leaving him over this, sounds like she is smarter than she looks.

I am tired of hearing about these super rich celebrities cheating on their spouses; let’s get back to real news – if there is any out there still…

“Legal” Drugs

Modern medicine is light years beyond the crude methods used even 200 years ago. The funny thing is the way this modern miracle works. If you have something, let’s just say sleep issues, you can take a drug for that. Ambien is produced to assist in sleeping disorders and just plain out people who have difficulties sleeping. Now the tricky part (and back to the funny) this drug helps you sleep, but also creates another fifteen problems when used. So you get help sleeping, you also however get these great prizes: Sleepwalking, and eating or driving while not fully awake, with memory loss for the event, as well as abnormal behaviors such as being more outgoing or aggressive than normal, confusion, agitation, and hallucinations may occur. Don’t take it with alcohol as it may increase these behaviors. In patients with depression, worsening of depression, including risk of suicide may occur. If you experience any of these behaviors contact your doctor immediately. Allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, swelling of your tongue or throat, may occur and in rare cases may be fatal.

So I guess if I commit suicide while using Ambien, I should discontinue use immediately and seek a professional health care provider. I see the good in using a drug like this, but suicide, hair loss, testicle enlargement, chronic pain, heart attack, sever muscle cramps, brain aneurisms, blood clots, and temporary paralysis – more commonly known as being paralyzed, do not sound to me like legitimate “side effects” of any modern drug. Why are the pushers allowed to legally sell these dangerous drugs that cause more side effects and dare I say more dangerous side effects than the original symptom? Why is the tobacco industry so aggressively sought after when there are pharmaceutical companies just as dangerous? I say that if I have a sore throat, I do not want my big toe cut off to fix it, or be at risk for accidental death for taking medicine to make my sore throat feel better.
